Terms of Service
This Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") sets forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between MURECOF International (hereinafter "Operator") and users regarding the use of this website (hereinafter "Site").
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to define the conditions and procedures for using the research consulting and reporting services (hereinafter “Services”) provided by MURECOF International based on French-speaking musicological materials, as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Operator and users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Site” refers to the official website operated by MURECOF International.
- “User” means an individual or organization requesting service or consultation through this Site.
- “Report” means customized research outputs including summaries, interpretations, and analytical materials prepared and provided by the Operator upon user request.
- “Original Materials” means French-language original texts or other reference documents that serve as the basis for summaries and analyses.
Article 3 (Service Provision)
- The Operator provides consulting services such as literature search, summary report preparation, and academic advice tailored to the user's research purpose upon request.
- The reports provided are creative results that include the Operator’s analysis, interpretation, opinions, and ideas beyond simple summaries.
- All services are personalized through prior consultation, and there is no online payment system.
- The reports are intended to support legitimate academic research and are prepared according to legally permitted citation and summarization methods.
Article 4 (Intellectual Property Rights and Report Usage Conditions) 🔒
- All copyrights for summaries and analytical materials created by the Operator belong to MURECOF International.
- All information contained in the reports may only be used for academic reference and commercial use or unauthorized distribution is prohibited.
- The sources of original materials indicated in the summary reports must be accurately cited, and the User bears full legal responsibility for any omission or distortion of citations.
- The Operator complies with copyright law and French intellectual property law (Code de la propriété intellectuelle) when preparing reports, and does not engage in illegal acts such as unauthorized copying or reuse without citation.
- The Operator’s services do not illegally reproduce or replace existing materials but aim for legitimate summarization, analysis, and consulting within copyright limits.
- Users may not post or share reports on external publications, blogs, media, or to third parties without prior consent from the Operator.
Article 5 (User Obligations)
- Users must use the provided reports only for legitimate research and educational purposes.
- When quoting or excerpting original texts in the reports, sources and author information must be clearly indicated.
- Editing, redistribution, publication, or commercial use of the reports without the Operator’s permission is prohibited.
- If illegal use is confirmed, the User may be subject to civil and criminal liability, and the Operator may take legal action.
Article 6 (Service Refund and Changes)
- Due to the nature of the service, refunds are not possible once report preparation has started.
- However, if cancellation is requested before the service starts, a full refund is available.
- Requests for changes during ongoing services can be adjusted through prior consultation.
Article 7 (Legal Responsibility and Disclaimer)
- The Operator strictly complies with relevant laws throughout consulting and report preparation.
- Users bear full legal responsibility for improper citation or unauthorized use of information within reports.
- The Operator is not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by force majeure such as natural disasters or system failures.
Article 8 (Amendment of Terms)
- The Operator may amend these Terms as needed and will notify changes through the Site.
- Amended Terms take effect seven days after notification, and users who do not agree must discontinue service use.
Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are interpreted in accordance with French law, and all disputes related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts within France.
Supplementary Provisions
These Terms shall come into effect on June 25, 2025.
